Urban mission...
...is about working to further God's kingdom of loving justice, mercy and peace by seeking local and city-wide solutions to the social, economic and spiritual poverty found in urban areas, especially town/city centres, multi-cultural inner city areas and outer estates.

A new urban mission resource is being set up to serve mission in urban areas of England. It is being developed by a steering group of agencies and denominations, using the working title the Christian Coalition for Urban Mission.
The Steering Group organisations are:

The work is rooted in the Biblical concept of the Kingdom of God, fuelled by passion for the saving grace of Jesus, guided by the Holy Spirit, and intent on supporting the living out of the Good News of wholeness, justice and peace for humankind in the urban parts of our nation.
